Job Description:

Pay Range: $19.93hr - $22.16hr
  • The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the organization to patients who visit as part of their health routine or for important health decisions.
  • This role is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures.
  • The position involves direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, and performing all duties in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Assignments may include work at a doctor s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional working environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct specimen labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call schedules, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license, if applicable.
  • Ability to travel and work across multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong customer focus with clear and professional communication skills.
Experience:
  • One to three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Should Have:
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training.

Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
