Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the company to patients and is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures.
- This role involves direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner.
- The role demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel to multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Keyboard and data entry experience.
- Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- PSC experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
