PVC Process Engineer – Magna International Join us to advance the automotive industry as a PVC Process Engineer at Magna International. In this role you will manage and improve the production line that creates battery trays for automotive applications.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily operations of the PVC application line dedicated to producing automotive battery trays.

Monitor process parameters to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PVC application processes, equipment, and production workflows.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Conduct routine inspections and quality checks of finished products, ensuring compliance with standards.

Document process parameters, issue reports, and improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote best practices in manufacturing operations.

Coordinate with other departments, such as quality assurance and procurement, to support seamless production.

Perform other duties as required.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of hands‑on experience managing manufacturing processes for PVC or similar thermoplastic materials, preferably in the automotive sector.

In‑depth knowledge of PVC properties, formulations, processing methods, and application techniques.

Proven expertise in operating and maintaining PVC application equipment such as extrusion, coating, or spraying lines.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to quickly address process deviations or technical issues.

Knowledge of automotive manufacturing standards and quality requirements.

Familiarity with process control systems and production monitoring tools.
