Educator Pay Rate:
$16.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)
Program Hours:
Monday–Friday 6:30am–8:30am and 2:45pm–6:00pm
You’ll Drive The Mission By
Daily Program Meetings: Each day, review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives and offer both educational and enjoyable experiences for all ages.
Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. Document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following
Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
Works well in a team environment.
At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
Connecticut State Requirements
Ability to meet state‑specific requirements.
First Aid and CPR in‑person certification.
Cleared tuberculosis test.
Proof of MMR vaccination.
18+ years of age.
Proof of high school diploma/GED required.
At least 540 hours documented experience working with unrelated children of the same age(s) to be served in this child day care center or group daycare home.
