Description You will be the Quality Engineer Senior for the
Missiles & Fire Control (MFC)
team. Our team is responsible for developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures that ensure the highest level of product quality across automated processes.
What You Will Be Doing As the Quality Engineer Senior you will be responsible for driving quality-focused automation solutions and providing technical direction to fellow engineers.
Responsibilities
Developing, reviewing, and approving documentation for internal and external manufacturing processes.
Programming and maintaining Quality-owned automation equipment (AOI, AXI, CMM, etc.).
Partnering with Automated Process Mechanical Engineers to ensure automation requirements are met throughout the assembly build lifecycle.
Providing technical direction and mentorship to other Quality Engineers.
Presenting detailed status updates during program reviews to confirm proper implementation of automated processes.

Further Information About This Opportunity This position is in Lufkin, Texas. Must be a U.S. citizen; candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline from an accredited college with 3+ years of professional experience.
Experience developing methods, work instructions, and procedures for inspection of manufactured products, especially as it relates to automated processes.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and translate into work instructions.
Experience establishing performance metrics for identifying process improvement.
Experience with automated inspection equipment such as AOI/AXI.
Demonstrated ability to disposition non‑conforming products and resolve technical/process issues using root‑cause/corrective action tools.
Effective communication and presentation skills (written, oral, listening, technical writing).
Effective EQ skills (mindfulness, team building, collaboration).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance; U.S. citizen.
Desired Skills
Experience with Quality Standards (ISO 9000 / AS9100).
Experience with APMC (Automated Process Monitoring and Control).
Experience with MBCCA (Model Based Circuit Card Assembly).
Knowledge of configuration and data management.
Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt training.
Experience with verification and validation of test equipment and/or systems.
Experience with use of inspection gauges and measuring equipment.
Experience working with Government customers.
Circuit Card Assembly and Wire Harness manufacturing, including familiarity with CCA and Wire Harness manufacturing standards such as J-STD-001 and IPC-610/620.
Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance level: Secret.
