Job Title: Civil Construction Superintendent
Job Description The Civil Construction Superintendent oversees and coordinates all civil construction activities on‑site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and resources effectively.
Responsibilities Oversee and manage all civil construction activities on‑site. Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Coordinate with crews, subcontractors, and resources effectively. Interpret and implement blueprints and technical documents. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Essential Skills Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil construction supervision. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA safety certification preferred. Experience with project management, electrical, plumbing, and subcontractor management. Familiarity with Autocad, earthworks, concrete, site construction, and grading. Knowledge of commercial construction and electrical wiring.
Work Environment The position offers a balanced work schedule with four 10‑hour days, allowing you to be home every night. The role includes access to a company vehicle. Work takes place in both office and field environments, requiring adaptability to varying conditions.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 – $55.00/hr.
