Position Summary
LEMOINE is seeking an experienced
Foreman
to support our
Municipal Construction Team
on the
Meta Data Center project . This is an advanced field leadership role responsible for assisting the Superintendent with daily site operations, crew supervision, safety enforcement, and production planning. The Foreman plays a critical role in ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and LEMOINE standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Project Superintendent with
day-to-day field supervision , administrative tasks, and coordination of work activities.
Supervise, direct, and manage craft labor and subcontractors, including
work assignments, productivity, and personnel oversight .
Conduct
daily inspections
of assigned work areas to identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and take corrective action.
Enforce all
LEMOINE safety policies , project‑specific safety plans, and OSHA requirements.
Review and interpret
construction drawings and blueprints , identify conflicts, and assist in resolving field issues.
Plan, organize, and lead
short- and long‑term work activities
to meet schedule and production goals.
Coordinate with Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and proper sequencing.
Assist with quality control to ensure work meets project specifications and standards.
Operate or oversee the operation of tools, equipment, and machinery as required.
Support training and development of crew members through leadership and cross‑training opportunities.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Field Engineer.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
relevant construction experience may substitute
for formal education.
Several years of experience in construction, preferably within
municipal, civil, or utility projects .
Strong working knowledge of construction methods, means, and procedures.
Ability to follow instructions, adhere to established guidelines, and exercise sound judgment in the field.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews effectively.
Proficiency in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications.
Valid driver's license with the ability to operate vehicles and equipment as required.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to
lift up to 50 lbs .
Frequent use of hands, arms, and legs; repetitive motions required.
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and work at heights or on uneven terrain.
May operate hand and power tools of various types.
Ability to hear, understand, and communicate verbal instructions related to work and safety.
May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, noise, dust, and physical labor demands typical of construction sites.
Position may require prolonged standing, walking, or occasional sitting.
May assist other craft workers as needed.
