About This Role
This position serves as a member of the data science group in DAIR that provides in-depth data analysis, modeling, interpretation, and communication for projects related to the university's major initiatives under but not limited to the NextGen, Provost's and SEP strategic plans.
Lead reporting and analysis projects to support University decision‑making processes. This primarily involves quantitative data querying, automation, and analysis methods and will address areas such as academic affairs, student recruitment and success, and other areas as needed for the University, its processes, and environment. The incumbent is expected to understand the complexity of data structures and commonly used methodologies in statistical analysis and reporting for institutional research purposes and make independent decisions on using sound approaches and interpreting findings to different stakeholders accordingly. The position strengthens the user service capacity for data requests, analysis, automation, and reporting.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Two or more years of Institutional Research or directly related experience
Previous work experience in a higher education environment.
Experience developing data visualizations and reports using business intelligence and analytic platforms: Power BI, Tableau, etc.
Experience with statistical analysis
Analytical software and programming experience in tools such as R, SAS, or Python
Data retrieval and transformation skills: SQL, Power Query, Excel, etc.
Data automation experience: Power Automate, Snowflake, etc.
Data and analysis presentation skills
