What You’ll Be Doing Research & Innovation
Lead the U.S. R&D team to develop new products and support the lifecycle of existing products across the portfolio.
Manage the portfolio of projects and resource allocation through project management tools to meet project milestones in coordination with the Project Management Office.
Collaborate with the technology leadership and material experts to develop new products to meet the performance specifications of our customers.
Identify and resolve technical challenges in the product development process to maintain project momentum.
Define and develop the methods, testing protocols, and analytical techniques to meet application specified by the customer.
Collaborate with Applications Engineering to manage the pipeline of new products into the development process to meet customers needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Product Management, and Marketing/Sales to align product engineering team’s efforts with strategic business goals.
Engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure product designs meet performance and application requirements.
Recommend value‑driven solutions such as cost‑effective materials, quality enhancements, and new technologies.
Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor and develop engineers, fostering technical growth and leadership within the team.
Serve as a technical expert, supporting complex processing reviews and problem‑solving.
Educate internal teams and customers through technical presentations, publications, and symposia.
Project & Process Management
Apply the Fenner Precision Quality System and Stage Gate development process for structured project execution.
Utilize Design of Experiments (DOE) and DMAIC methodologies to optimize research outcomes and product performance.
Oversee testing and qualification of new materials to ensure manufacturability and performance consistency.
Quality & Compliance
Support ISO audits to ensure accuracy and traceability in research activities.
Lead quality system efforts including audits, SOP development, and documentation review.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation in compliance with corporate standards.
