Job Summary
The Vehicle Operator is an active member of the team and provides transportation as needed for individuals to attend the Behavioral Health Services within our programs. Duties and Responsibilities
Operate motor vehicles to transport individuals to and from Behavioral Health Programs. Maintain all training necessary to operate a state vehicle and transport individuals. Complete and maintain all reports, transportation logs. Ensure vehicles are maintained and reports turned in to the Health & Safety officer each month. Ensures vehicles are up to standards and in compliance. Follows established policies and procedures regarding transportation of individuals and follows established policies and procedures regarding calling in for unscheduled absences. Uses time management and maintains schedule. Maintains all mandatory annual training required by Highland Rivers and DBHDD, CARF. Adheres to dress code. Uses initiative and judgement to assure that circumstances requiring special attention (i.e. individual acting out) are referred to the supervisor and/or director. Work flexible hours to ensure that individuals arrive to their destination at the appropriate time. Health Insurance through the State Health Benefit Plan of GA Flexible Benefits such as dental, vision, life, critical illness, etc. Retirement Plan with employer matching 4 weeks of Paid Time Off with increase of accruals based on years of service 10 paid holidays 1 personal day Qualifying employer for Public Student Loan Forgiveness NHSC loan forgiveness in qualifying counties.
