Our client is seeking a senior-level Bridge/Structural Practice Leader to oversee business development, project delivery, and team management for our client’s horizontal structural group in their Lexington, KY office. This Full‑Time (direct hire) role is ideal for a licensed
Professional Engineer
with 10+ years of experience in bridge or horizontal structural engineering and a passion for leadership and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Drive business development efforts and expand market presence at the local level
Collaborate with office managers and practice leaders to execute strategic growth plans
Manage departmental budget, staff resources, and financial success
Lead proposal development and contribute technical expertise across projects
Oversee hiring, staffing plans, and performance management for the department
Serve as a go‑to resource for project managers and technical staff
Support and mentor team members through continuous performance feedback and coaching
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (from an accredited program)
Professional Engineer (PE) license
10+ years of horizontal structural/bridge engineering experience
Strong background in project management and business development
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
Prior supervisory or department leadership experience
