Field-heavy (80% field / 20% documentation)
Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator to support large‑scale telecommunications builds by performing post‑installation quality assurance (QA) in the field. This role is highly hands‑on and ideal for candidates with strong OSP, aerial, and FTTH experience who are comfortable working independently across large metro areas.
Key Responsibilities
Perform post‑installation QA inspections for aerial fiber construction
Validate builds by reviewing footage, sheath tick marks, and field conditions
Verify footage in/out and confirm construction accuracy against plans
Patch and interpret strand maps provided by engineering teams
Collect detailed field data and documentation for project closeout
Capture and submit extensive photo documentation (50–100 poles per application)
Review and reference construction drawings, CDs, Make Ready sheets, and network plans
Coordinate field findings with internal teams to resolve discrepancies
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and construction standards
Required Qualifications
1–2+ years of OSP construction experience (aerial required; underground/buried not applicable)
Strong aerial construction and lineman background
Experience with post‑build QA or field validation
Comfortable working as a road warrior in the field
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience reviewing construction drawings and network documentation
Preferred / Ideal Experience
FTTH experience (2+ years preferred)
FlexNap experience (required)
NESC experience (Texas work)
GO 95 experience (California work; future phase)
GIS experience (3GIS strongly preferred)
Splicing experience (plus, not required)
Additional Requirements
Ability to obtain and display required vehicle signage and identification badges
Willingness to travel within metro areas as needed
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
