Base pay range $70.00/hr - $90.00/hr

We are looking for an AVIONICS/AEROSPACE EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER to support the development of avionics products. Ideal candidate lives in the Tampa Bay/Clearwater, FL or Grand Rapids, MI area - or locally in Florida or Michigan and willing to go onsite when needed. This is an estimated 12+ month long temporary W2 contract supporting avionics/aerospace engineering.

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer with expertise in FPGA design for RF applications. This is for an Aviation company, reporting to Manager over Surveillance HW and Advanced Development Engineering. This role involves developing and verifying FPGA-based systems for high-speed signal processing and RF front-end integration. You will collaborate closely with our firmware team in Phoenix, AZ, to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Must be committed to working a W2 long term contract

Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering field

VHDL coding (especially for filters and multipliers)

Familiarity with simulation tools (Active-HDL or similar)

Experience with high-speed interfaces (RS232, SPI, LVDS, DAC, ADC, JESD204)

Knowledge of RF signal processing (working with RF front-end components)

Experience with Artix-7 family and SEM IP Core is preferred

Industry Background preferred: Telecom, RF systems, radar, satellite, aerospace, or any FPGA-heavy environment
