What Our Financial Advisors Do

They are the personal coach to our nation’s military families, focusing on a constantly evolving financial plan that meets short‑term and long‑term goals.

They help families manage day‑to‑day finances, build lifetime assets, and protect against the unexpected.

They engage with the community to bring new clients to First Command, supported by the local district team and Home Office.

They partner with local military organizations, units, and institutions to reach the military community.

They create comprehensive financial plans that include:

Savings / Banking

Investments / Wealth Management

Insurance / Risk Management

What We Offer We provide a specialized licensing and comprehensive training program designed for veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses. The program includes:

Sponsor your pursuit of full registration and licensing as a Financial Advisor using our tools and resources.

Preparation and testing for SIE, S6, S63, S65, and state Life & Health licenses.

Opportunity to join a paid training program with a local district office after successful licensing.

Initial hourly wage during the first 3 months (minimum wage in the state of employment). After three months, transition to a salaried position with progressive incentives for the remainder of the nine‑month training period.

What To Expect After Training

Completion of the paid trainee program may lead to an independent contractor Financial Advisor position with First Command, allowing you to control your career trajectory and compensation based on results.

No cap on earning potential; compensation reflects effort and includes competitive commissions, residual income, bonuses, and deferred compensation. Average first‑year compensation ranges in commissions and bonuses.

Professional development through progressive leadership programs, classroom training, and annual workshops for future leadership opportunities.

Ability to set your own schedule to maintain work‑life balance.

Desired Qualifications

Military experience or affiliation.

Bachelor’s degree.

Proven leadership skills.

Location & Salary Louisville, KY – $52,000.00 – $202,000.00
