Base pay range $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr
Major Function Job Coaches are responsible for job skills training to individuals with learning and learning related disabilities. This includes but is not limited to hands-on instruction and supervision of students at job sites, and the implementation of classroom curriculum. Transition Job Coaches are expected to participate in the development and implementation of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) to maximize each assigned students’ ability to function independently.
Location will vary but will be based in Hillsborough County (Tampa/Riverview/Brandon).
Duties and Responsibilities
Appropriately identify job site duties and expectations for students and implement them daily
Provide appropriate accommodations to students while on the jobsite
Responsible for supervision and hands-on interaction with students to complete tasks that are up to the standards of the employer, regardless of students’ ability or disability
Implement program goals for each student including observation and record keeping of all appropriate student records
Participate in all team meetings requested by program coordinator
Provides appropriate feedback on student progress and development.
Maintain a safe physical environment within the assigned work area and ensure proper handling of work materials and equipment
Effectively communicate with Employers, Students, Families, & Pepin Academies Staff
Advocate for students on the jobsite and within the community
Cultivate an inclusive community for students
Manage multiple jobsites throughout the week
Demonstrate flexibility and adapt to the changing needs of the program
Ability to be flexible and make appropriate adjustments as necessary
Teach and model a variety of appropriate employability skills in accordance with student ability and job site needs
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Participate as an active member of the Transition team
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma
Valid Florida driver’s license with insurance and a reliable means of transportation
Three years work history
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Seniority level Mid-Senior level
