A boutique Commercial Real Estate organization is seeking Junior Accountant to join their team!
Responsibilities The Junior Staff Accountant will work closely with the CFO to strategically lead the company to meet its growth goals by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
Process weekly unionized payroll for 20+ employees
Liaison with 32BJ union to ensure proper compliance including payments of union benefits and payroll deductions
Handling all Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables
Coordinate with tenants and vendors to maintain evidence of insurance
Administering leases and communicating with lawyers for all lease documents
Prepare monthly rent statements including processing billing for any tenant charges
Entering all cash receipts in Yardi and following up weekly with tenants regarding any arrears
Resolving issues regarding billings
Obtaining proper approval for all invoices, coding and entering into Yardi System
Assist with quarterly & annual escalations and preparing letters to send to tenants
Assist with the General Ledger and Journal Entries when needed
Assist in the monthly and yearly closings when needed
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
Qualifications
1+ years of experience in Accounting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Yardi is a plus, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Multitask with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of flexibility
