Summary At the direction of the principal, perform a variety of tasks needed to develop, grow and manage high‑school early college access (ECA) programs (i.e., dual and concurrent enrollment programs). Duties include working with students, counselors, and college personnel in planning and scheduling college courses; assembling, disseminating, and publicizing information regarding ECA programs; communicating with students, parents, and college staff regarding college application, admissions requirements, and course offerings; assisting with the organization of classrooms, student meetings, proctoring/administering college placement tests, recruitment, clerical and other non‑instructional work; assisting students in all aspects of registering for ECA college courses including the application process, test schedule and administration, financial aid and scholarships; organizing and maintaining student files and contact information; and working with the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Programs staff to support Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) developed between the district and higher educational institutions, providing data, sharing concerns and recommendations to increase access for all students and to establish appropriate contacts in the higher educational community.

Responsibilities

Ability to access college information online.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; organizational, management, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.
Knowledge of the seven core competencies of the Supporting Services Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
Physical Demands None.
Special Requirements Required to attend school meetings, programs, and activities outside the instructional day as needed and allowed by contract.
