Arclin USA is seeking a
Maintenance Manager
for our plant in
Cedartown, GA . Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will manage the department responsible for the repair, installation and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and continuous plant operation.
Responsibilities
Directly supervise hourly skilled maintenance employees, including training, development, coaching, scheduling, addressing complaints and disciplinary action.
Participate in the site business team and maintain budgetary control of the maintenance department, managing spend tracking and cost/forecast within ±10% of actuals.
Function as Project Manager for multiple concurrent small‑scale Capital Expenditure Projects, FMEA, and RCAs.
Prepare and close Investment Proposals within the confines of the project.
Perform as integral part of the site Process Safety Management Program (PSM), handling Mechanical Integrity, Process Safety Information, MOCs, PHA, JSS, Hot Work, and Confined Space.
Develop, implement, and report KPIs for maintenance work and asset health.
Improve contractor management system, including approving contractors, performance, Method Statements, Lifting Plans, Safety Records, etc.
Schedule and assign preventative/predictive maintenance across hydraulic, electrical (PLC/DCS), pneumatic, power‑transmission, welding, machining, fabrication, vibration analysis, balancing, alignment, oil analysis, and NDT.
Develop and improve Asset Data Repository: Mechanical Integrity Records, Integrity Standards, Manufacture & Installation dates, Material of Manufacture, etc.
Assist with hiring and orienting new employees; develop self and staff for growth.
Troubleshoot various types of equipment and controls.
Install new equipment such as pumps, valves, pipes, compressors, agitators, etc.
Maintain good work practices and work safely in compliance with all HSE regulations and Arclin policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (MechE, ChemE, ElecE), Engineering Technology (MechE Tech, ElecE Tech), or significant industry experience with trade certifications (LME, Journeyman).
5–7 years of experience in a similar manufacturing operation; chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001; continuous improvement tools such as Lean, TPM, and Six Sigma are a plus.
On‑call availability and experience.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and self‑motivation; able to work with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail and ability to follow HSE and company policies.
Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment with lifting to 20 lbs., standing, bending, crouching, stooping, rotating, climbing stairs, etc.
Strong organizational skills and prioritization.
