Job Description
This individual will be responsible for achieving quality castings in the operation of a brass low‑pressure casting unit. The position will include programmed machine cycle start, monitoring of HMI controls/alarms, shot blasting mold and hand loading of ingot bars in an automated feeder.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that automated production equipment and material specification are functioning within operating parameters of the process sheet.
Visual inspection of castings that meet foundry department standards.
Observe machine alarms for malfunction and make adjustments to run at a maximum efficiency of 80 sec/cycle and/or notify the casting lead person for adjustments.
Complete all production paperwork to improve production methods and equipment performance.
Identify scrap and segregate it from production.
Perform molten metal furnace cleaning weekly.
Perform all job functions as outlined in the functional job analysis.
