Full‑time position on nights. Pay ranges from $19.25/hr to $22.85/hr, depending on experience.
Summary
Responsible for the safe and compassionate transport of behavioral health clients to appropriate destinations. Must communicate and work collaboratively with social workers, hospital staff, fellow associates and first responders. When needed, uses appropriate de‑escalation techniques to manage situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure daily client happiness
Acts as an ambassador and advocate for the behavioral health community/health care system
Provides safe, efficient, and compassionate transport of the client being responsive to special needs that may arise
Able to operate vehicle safely while monitoring a client.
Effectively communicates with the client, family members, hospital staff, Control Center, first responders, and fellow associates
Able to maintain calm, professional demeanor in stressful situations.
Follows all applicable federal, state, and local laws, statutes, and regulations
Drives in a safe manner, following Life EMS safe driving standards and techniques
Maintains a clean, well‑organized vehicle and is aware of and responds to special maintenance needs
Completes a vehicle checklist prior to each transport
