Opportunity We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support operations in Moehringen, Germany. This is a full‑time OCONUS position requiring an active DoD Secret clearance, eligibility for NATO Inductation and TESA accreditation, and other requirements.
TESA certification provides significant tax exemptions for U.S. employees stationed in Germany. In addition, Cambridge provides benefits such as housing, COLA, and dependent education reimbursements.
What You’ll Do
Design, implement, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) systems, including authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) protocols.
Develop and implement identity management strategies and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, including those related to secure military environments and cloud computing.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and deploy IAM solutions that meet business requirements and security standards, including those related to classified networks and systems.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate potential security threats to identity systems.
Develop and maintain documentation for IAM systems, including system architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting guides.
Stay up‑to‑date with emerging trends and technologies in the IAM space and make recommendations for future system enhancements and upgrades.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure that IAM systems are aligned with organizational security policies and procedures, including those related to secure military environments and cloud computing.
What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in IAM systems, including design, implementation, and maintenance.
Certification: Major technical certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CEH) with 5+ years of related experience.
Hands‑on IAM support: 5+ years of experience supporting IAM solutions in enterprise or government environments.
Systems engineering growth: 5+ years of related experience showing growth in systems engineering, security engineering, or identity services.
Technical Expertise
Design, implementation, and maintenance of IAM solutions in secure environments.
IAM and identity federation protocols: SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect.
Platforms: Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar.
Authentication, authorization, encryption, and access control principles.
Cloud IAM: AWS IAM, Azure AD, or Google Cloud IAM.
Risk assessment, troubleshooting, and remediation of identity‑related issues.
PowerShell and/or Python scripting and automation.
Certifications
CompTIA Security+ or higher (e.g., CISSP, CEH).
Current and active DoD Secret security clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.
Travel & Passport
Possible overnight stays.
Active passport required to support OCONUS travel and/or living requirements.
Work Environment
Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles.
Primarily office‑based role in Moehringen, Germany.
Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site.
May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
