A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based team setting. This role is primarily focused on creating and maintaining advanced interactive data visualizations using Tableau and requires a candidate with intermediate to advanced Tableau skills. Beyond the construction of well-designed dashboards, candidates will have a range of technical skills including data cleaning and preparation with large data sets. Additional skills of value for the position include SQL, R, SAS, and ArcPro.Senior Reporting and Analytics Analysts are expected to perform mainly technical skill tasks. In some cases they may also contribute to project leadership and administration. They are expected to complete work independently on tasks with moderate complexity while assisting or completing advanced complexity tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. Senior Research Analytics Specialists may work on multiple projects at a time and have significant project responsibilities.Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following:* Lead or assist with the design, development, and maintenance of complex Tableau dashboards.* Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for the dashboards.* Lead or assist in manipulating data sets for best use in Tableau.* Contribute to definition and documentation of internal GRC Tableau best practices.* Contribute to development of Tableau training modules and other Tableau technical assistance for partners.* Lead or assist with data analysis and measure construction using administrative data such as Medicaid claims or population health survey data.* Compose reports, whitepapers, and presentation materials.* Present results to project sponsors and other audiences.* Review work products from subcontractors.* Conduct literature searches and literature reviews.* Assist with the development of protocols and the composition of institutional review board (IRB) applications.Actual project and task assignments depend on the skill set of the successful candidate.**Minimum Education Required:**Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required. A minimum of four years relevant experience.**Required Qualifications:**Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.**Additional Desired Qualifications:**4 to 8 years of experience in a relevant field. Significant demonstrated experience in the creation and maintenance of complex Tableau dashboards and demonstrated usage of SAS, SQL and/or R for data manipulation and analysis.An advanced degree in a relevant field of study is preferred. Experience working with external clients and other stakeholders and experience in applied health services or population health research are desired.***FUNCTION: Business Planning and Operations
