Summary: Collects and documents admission and resident data with accuracy and reports unusual findings to RN and Physician in a timely manner. Performs procedures and treatments according to Physician orders. Accurately and safely administers medications in accordance with policy and procedure and documents consistently. Implements the plan of care as directed by the RN and Physician. Receives and implements Physician orders accurately and on time. Provides a clean and safe environment according to unit standards. Offers assistance to residents and responds immediately. Consistently performs LPN skills, ie. feeding tubes care, foley cath insertion and care, blood sugar checks, pulse ox, injections and all other unit specific skills as assigned. Works as a team player, supporting and assisting the team. Supervises care given by Certified Nursing Assistants. Other information: Current LPN license in good standing Previous long term care experience preferred Maintains current knowledge and competency in nursing practice and geriatric care Generates enthusiasm, dedication, and enjoys elderly adults Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment This job will be authorized72.00 hours bi-weekly.
