Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for leading one or more moderate to highly complex engineering or manufacturing projects from initiation through completion. This role provides technical and operational leadership to cross‑functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, on budget, and in alignment with quality and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution
Lead and manage moderate to significantly complex projects, driving all project management activities from planning through execution
Develop and manage project cost, scope, and schedule frameworks, intervening as needed to ensure alignment with agreed deliverables
Identify project risks and gaps; develop and implement mitigation strategies
Escalate issues requiring major adjustments to Program Management leadership
Technical & Operational Leadership
Provide expertise to evaluate and resolve technical challenges, driving innovative solutions
Delegate tasks and manage cross‑functional teams including Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Quality
Integrate complex engineering and production concepts into project management systems and processes
Define and maintain engineering, production, and project schedules and associated releases
Financial Planning & Control
Lead financial planning, cost forecasting, scheduling, and reporting activities for assigned projects
Support earned value management, baseline change control, and cost‑out analysis
Provide guidance on financial monitoring, scheduling, and preparation of technical and schedule documentation
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical, administrative, and logistical matters with customers and external partners
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, regulatory agencies, sales, and design organizations
Represent the Project Manager as delegated for select management responsibilities
Team Leadership & Resource Management
Lead and matrix‑manage day‑to‑day project activities
Assist with selection, development, and mentoring of technical project team members
Guide effective use of project resources, including personnel, tools, and methodologies
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or construction project management
Strong ability to manage multiple project elements simultaneously
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications
Mechanical or manufacturing background
Advanced knowledge of project cost management and forecasting principles, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and Baseline Change Control
Familiarity with Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) in engineering or manufacturing environments
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
