Responsibilities
Develop and manage databases to organize large data sets in support of business operations.
Monitor database performance and resolve processing and programming issues.
Design and implement database management tools to improve overall performance.
Ensure data integrity, security, and proper storage through established access and control policies.
Implement disaster recovery procedures to safeguard database systems.
Provide support for integrating additional tools into the SAMP IBM Tivoli Netcool system.
Advise users and review Standard Operating Procedures and training materials for IBM Netcool usage.
Conduct systems analysis, design review, configuration, documentation, and implementation for SAMP concepts.
Remediate vulnerabilities identified during resource scans against SAMP.
Support organic and contracted efforts, including interface development with other monitoring systems.
Contribute expertise to applications, operations, and technical support teams in application design.
Participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations to stay updated on industry practices.
Qualifications
Desired Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably on Department of Defense (DoD) programs
Experience in managing, implementing, and administering IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIBus, Tivoli Business Service Management, Impact, and Cognos
Experience with the current version of NetIQ AppManager and its subcomponents
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL and Windows Server
Scripting experience in Perl, JavaScript, and HTML
Experience with network management tools such as HP IMCS, Solarwinds
Minimum Certification Requirements:
Certified Information Assurance (IA) Technician (IAT) Level II (DODM 8140)
Potentially Required Certification(s):
CompTIA Network+
Security Clearance: Valid DoD Secret clearance required. Additionally, NATO Secret and/or DoD Top Secret/SSBI clearances are required at certain locations.
US citizenship required for access to sensitive information.
