Westminster Place is looking for a Full Time Medical Records Coordinator.

Pay Rate ($18.76 to $26.37) hourly

(Hourly rate is based on years of experience).

Schedule:

Full Time (8am-4pm) - Monday to Friday.

Essential Duties

Completes daily reports as directed

Transport charts for appointments to and from each respective Wellness Nursing office to the Hansen Clinic

As needed: Bring additional requested charts to the offices or Hansen Clinic. Responsible for transporting pharmacy medications and lab specimens

Periodically and at the end of the clinic day, returns charts to the respective nursing offices/stations

Daily, file/scan all resident reports into their charts; stock charts with progress notes, physician order forms, and other forms

File all resident charts at the end of each day

Prepare new resident charts/thins existing charts

Notify resident of weekly appointments with written notices: delivery of notices. Assist with resident appointments as needed

Monthly, prepare resident annual physical information and deliver packages to their mail slotsMake “Blue” cards as needed for all residents

Use EMR to Print residents face sheets and other medical records

Process medical records requests and keep appropriate logs. Email updates regarding medical record requests as needed

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Experience: Long-term care experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Current certification as nurse's aide with the Illinois Department of Public Health preferred but not required

Medical records certification preferred but not required

Reading, writing and comprehension skills needed to use medical terminology on the job

Ability to do simple arithmetic

Good communication skills

Interest in working with older adults

General knowledge of the needs of geriatric patients

CPR certification, recommended
