This role is responsible for planning day to day Packaged Truck deliveries for the Salt business unit. $25.00/hr - $25.00/hr Position Description:
This role is responsible for planning day to day Packaged Truck deliveries for the Salt business unit. Responsibilities include: Carrier utilization and scheduling, cost and service reporting and communication with external and internal stakeholders. Works with Sales and Supply Chain groups to understand requirements and make best value delivery decisions to support client's customer requirements. Supports the sourcing strategy by tendering and managing orders in SAP with tiered carrier rankings. Responsible for day-to-day management of orders from an assigned set of plants and public warehouses. Includes building loads, monitoring of unrouted orders, coordinating ship and delivery dates, handling customer add-ons and broken or changed loads and logging and approving carrier invoiced costs. Typical requirements include:
a degree in logistics, transportation, business or a related field and 2 or more years of experience or 4 years of experience. Seniority level:
