This description outlines a Project Manager role in HDR’s Water Business Group in North Carolina, with a focus on water and wastewater pump stations and pipelines. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting projects through planning, design and construction phases. Project types include water transmission pipelines, water pump stations, wastewater collection systems, wastewater pump stations and related infrastructure. Responsibilities include planning studies, field alignment studies, coordinating with sub-consultants and utility owners, preparing preliminary and final designs, drawing coordination, developing technical specifications, and performing office and field services during construction. The role also includes directing production staff and managing client relationships to support our North Carolina Pump Stations and Pipelines team. Responsibilities

Manage and support projects through planning, design and construction phases. Handle project types such as water transmission pipelines, water pump stations, wastewater collection systems, wastewater pump stations, and related infrastructure. Plan studies and field alignment studies; coordinate with sub-consultants and utility owners. Prepare preliminary and final designs, coordinate drawings, develop technical specifications, and perform office and field services during construction. Direct production staff and conduct client management activities for the North Carolina Pump Stations and Pipelines team. Preferred Qualifications

MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred 5 years of water/wastewater project experience, primarily focused on pump stations and pipelines PE license in NC preferred Local candidates are preferred Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering 7 years related experience A minimum 2 years project management experience Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the position location (e.g., PE or P.Eng) MS Office and MS Project experience required (Access experience is a plus) Demonstrated leadership skills Active participant in our employee-owned culture What We Believe HDR is our company.
