Electro-Mechanical Technician – Aurora (2nd Shift)

This position is for a skilled technician to maintain a state‑of‑the‑art automated material handling system in a fast‑paced distribution center. The role requires a safety‑first mindset, an ability to maximize system performance, and competence in both electrical and mechanical tasks.
Pay : $35–$37 per hour, plus premium shift differential for qualifying evening, night or weekend shifts and performance‑based bonus opportunities.
Responsibilities
Approach all tasks and situations with a safety‑first mindset, ensuring the well‑being of yourself and your team.
Enhance system performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance activities.
Engage in a wide range of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
Assist the production team with basic fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
Aid in the installation of new components or refurbishment of existing system components.
Drive continuous improvement activities through comprehensive system knowledge and site‑specific enhancements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in industrial technology or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role; 5+ years preferred.
Strong skills in electrical (3‑phase, 480 V, DC, 24 V controls) and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors, gears).
Knowledge of control technology (PLC, controls, inverters).
Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system monitoring programs.
Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
Working at heights of up to 80–100 feet while wearing fall‑arrest gear and other PPE.
Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs unassisted.
