Pay Range Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Duties / Responsibilities
Candidates must be able to collect data using company standards for descriptions and line coding.
Assist Party Chief in running field operations.
Operate and maintain surveying instruments (transits, levels, theodolite, electronic distance measuring equipment) to measure and verify elevations, angles, and distances.
Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
Adhere to local, state, and federal survey regulations and Accura Engineering procedures.
Monitor completion of daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections.
Perform mathematical calculations to establish and locate reference points.
Interpret maps, plats, blueprints, and specifications.
Clean, check, and adjust survey instruments to assure accuracy of measurements.
Oversee surveying activities in the absence of the Survey Party Chief.
Perform related work as required.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma/GED.
1+ years utilizing data collectors, robotic and non‑robotic total stations, and GPS equipment.
1+ years experience in land surveying.
Experience with GDOT.
Valid driver’s license and be insurable.
Willing to train the right candidate when the above experience is not present.
Must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
Must be willing and able to travel as required for the role.
Physical Requirements
Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Will work in variable climate and environmental conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
