Network Install Technicians collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex technical scenarios, and implement strategic solutions that keep our network running seamlessly. Key Responsibilities
Move and implement large enterprise equipment
Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment
Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation
Follow established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activities
Safely use material handling tools and equipment
Travel within and outside the regional work area as required
Physical Requirements
Lift or move up to 40 pounds regularly; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds with reasonable accommodations
Work in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support when needed
Operate in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments
Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
Essential Requirements
Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed
Willingness to work temporarily at alternative sites during training or until the designated site becomes operational
Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and the operational status of the assigned facility
Basic Qualifications
Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
At least 18 months of experience in a data center, critical environment, or similar technical role (e.g., computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations)
At least 18 months of experience with fiber handling and installation processes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a data center or other critical environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT‑related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering)
Relevant certifications (CCENT, Network+, CCNA)
Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and/or weekends
