Ball Memorial’s adult progressive care unit is an 18‑bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care for patients transitioning from progressive to medical levels of care. Common diagnoses include pulmonary edema, respiratory failure, GI hemorrhage, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, chronic ventilator support, and renal failure.

Qualifications
Requires an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Education: Must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
