Job Overview
The EMS Scheduler is a full‑time on‑site position responsible for scheduling regular and overtime shifts for full and part‑time field employees in accordance with AMR Policy and applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement(s). The role also monitors and edits timekeeping records for all non‑exempt employees, processes hours worked, and provides payroll with required reports in a timely and accurate manner. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain schedules for full‑time and part‑time field employees, including regular and overtime shifts. Ensure all scheduling practices comply with AMR policies and applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs). Coordinate shift coverage for absences, vacations, and emergencies to maintain adequate staffing levels. Communicate schedule changes promptly to employees and supervisors. Monitor and review timekeeping records for accuracy and compliance. Edit and approve time entries as needed to reflect actual hours worked. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in time records in collaboration with supervisors. Process and validate hours worked for all non‑exempt employees. Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports within established deadlines. Serve as a liaison between scheduling and payroll teams to ensure timely and correct compensation. Maintain documentation of scheduling and timekeeping activities for audit and compliance purposes. Generate reports on staffing, overtime, and attendance trends for management review. Ensure adherence to labor laws, CBAs, and company policies regarding scheduling and pay practices. Act as a point of contact for employees regarding scheduling inquiries and timekeeping issues. Provide clear and professional communication to resolve conflicts and maintain positive employee relations. Qualifications
Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Experience with scheduling for up to 500+ employees. Proficiency in scheduling software and timekeeping systems. Knowledge of labor laws and collective bargaining agreements. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work under time restraints. Ability to perform mathematical and statistical calculations. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Working Conditions
Physical Demands: Requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in outdoor or indoor field environments. Mental Requirements: Ability to handle a high volume of data, manage multiple time‑keeping entries, and communicate effectively with staff and supervisors. Reporting Relationships
