Overview
Prismecs is seeking an experienced
Mechanic TA
to support Operations & Maintenance activities at power generation facilities. This role is responsible for mechanical maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of
LM6000, TM2500, and LM2500
gas turbine units. The Mechanic TA works closely with the Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager, and Project Teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations in compliance with company, customer, and HSE requirements.
Responsibilities
Manage, coordinate, and monitor site activities related to LM6000 / TM2500 / LM2500 systems
Perform walk-downs during installations to verify proper execution by contractors
Execute on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration activities
Perform Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 maintenance tasks on gas turbine units
Conduct Borescope Inspections (BSI) on LM6000 / TM2500 / LM2500 units
Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues across plant equipment
Respond promptly to emergency repairs and equipment failures
Provide technical guidance to customer representatives on installation, operation, and maintenance
Support Project Managers with work planning and resolution of technical issues
Prepare technical reports, job status updates, timesheets, and expense reports
Order materials, secure quotations, and ensure availability of parts and tools
Ensure proper use and care of tools and auxiliary equipment on-site
Participate actively in the Prismecs Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program
Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
Mentor and train Field Engineers and site personnel
Maintain housekeeping standards and support overall O&M objectives
Perform aftermarket upgrades and additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Technical School Diploma or Engineering Degree in Mechanical discipline required
Minimum
3 years of experience
in gas turbine or power generation plants
Hands‑on experience with
LM6000, TM2500, and/or LM2500
gas turbines required
Experience performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
Borescope inspection experience preferredKnowledge of tribology and mechanical systems
Strong understanding of HSE practices in power generation environments
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
Ability to work rotating shifts and extended hours as required
English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking)
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 is a plus
