Overview Prismecs is seeking an experienced

O&M Mechanic

to support the execution of equipment and facilities operation, maintenance, and repairs within a power generation environment. This position reports to the

Maintenance Manager

and works closely with the

Plant Manager

to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant mechanical performance of all plant systems. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, technically strong, and proactive, with the ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities Operations, Maintenance & Repairs

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment in accordance with OEM manuals, procedures, and industry standards.

Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, perform diagnostics, adjustments, fluid testing, and repairs to maintain equipment integrity and reliability.

Maintain accurate records in logbooks and digital systems.

Assist in repairing sub-standard performance and equipment failures.

Ensure proper operation of plant facilities and equipment in coordination with the Plant Manager.

Safety, Compliance & HSE

Actively participate in Prismecs’ HSE program and comply with all safety procedures and environmental regulations.

Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and equipment abnormalities immediately.

Follow Power Agreement requirements and environmental protections.

Carry out housekeeping and energy conservation measures.

Plant Operations Support

Coordinate with Operations teams on equipment interventions to minimize downtime.

Support the Plant Manager during major technical issues, shutdowns, and maintenance planning.

Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and provide supporting documentation.

Track maintenance compliance, inspections, and routine programs.

Propose necessary spare parts and materials to maintain stock levels.

Mentor junior technicians and support continuous improvement of mechanical practices.

General Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.

Operate SCADA, Protection, and Control Systems when required.

Support general facilities maintenance.

Provide accurate daily reporting.

Respond promptly to mechanical emergencies or failures.

Perform any additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.

Requirements Requirements / Qualifications

Technical School certification or Engineering degree in Mechanical field.

English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).

Minimum 3 years of experience

in Gas Turbines (GT) or Reciprocating Power Modules (RPM) in power generation.

Demonstrated experience with

TM2500+

units or similar aeroderivative gas turbines.

Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, mechanical processes, and maintenance practices.

Understanding of tribology principles.

Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.

Ability to work rotating shifts.

General HSE knowledge; ISO 9001, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18001 familiarity is a plus.
