Provides appropriate specialized wound care services to inpatient hospital and outpatient clinic patients. Performs examinations; performs or orders diagnostic test; establishes diagnosis; prescribes medication; performs in office procedures within the scope of their licensure, instructs patients and family members about continuing care. Position Reports To:

Rehab services Manager Essential Functions

Provide specialized health care with a focus on wound care to patients. Examination, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and acute wound care diagnosis and injuries. Refers to physician as needed. Writes prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment. Educates patients and families and helps them understand issues related to their wound healing and care. Participates in health promotional activities. Participates in decisions, planning, and policies related to clinical care. Maintains accurate and complete patient records in compliance with organizational policy. Refers patients to specialty services when appropriate. Provides professional medical services within the scope of training and responsibility, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and organizational policies. Collaborates with staff and physicians to identify patient’s needs and help develop plan to meet those needs. Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification. Provide clinical supervision to RNs and other health care professionals within their scope of practice and licensure. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times. Qualifications

Required: Active Registered Nurse and ARNP licensure with prescriptive authority in the state of Washington, required by start date. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification. Desired: Wound care or related experience. Physical/Sensory Demands
