Maintenance Technician – Night Shift

Pay and Benefits:
Excellent Pay – Starting Pay is $27.15 per hour for Level 1. After Level 2 certification, pay jumps to $30.22 per hour; achievable within 6 months. Top pay at Level 6 of $37.80 per hour. Plus, night shift employees receive an additional $2.25 per hour.
Incentive Pay – Quarterly bonus incentives up to 7% per quarter based on safety, quality, and other metrics.

About the Position This position requires the individual to proactively apply skills to install, maintain, and improve all plant equipment. The role also involves providing temporary support in all other maintenance related activities within a food‑processing environment, following all food safety, quality, and defense requirements.
Essential Functions
Perform sheet metal fabrication, mill and lathe machining, and welding.
Demonstrate working knowledge of single‑ and three‑phase power, understand electrical control schematics, and troubleshoot control and PLC logic and hardware.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills for general food manufacturing processing and packaging equipment.
Follow specific maintenance procedures concerning preventive maintenance schedules and documentation requirements.
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
Position Requirements
Work safely, following GMPs, housekeeping guidelines, and food quality standards.
Provide proactive support to other maintenance groups, responding promptly to trouble calls.
Maintain accountability for own performance and team performance.
Maintain a proactive approach to serve internal customers and continuously improve plant operations.
Work any shift and demonstrate acceptable attendance and performance levels.
Commit to safety, health, and adherence to all safety protocols.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years as a general maintenance mechanic in a food processing environment, preferred.
2+ years working knowledge of PLC and electrical troubleshooting.
Technical trade training pertaining to maintenance skills.
Solid work experience background.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Employee continuously stands and walks on concrete, may lift up to 50 lbs. Climb ladders and access platforms from 6 to 45 feet, work in confined spaces. Experience in loud noise conditions. Specific visual abilities required: close, distant, color, peripheral, depth perception.
