DUTIES The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the maintenance activities of industrial equipment, production machinery, and facility systems to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role includes supervision of maintenance staff, coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance, and the implementation of safety and quality control measures. Lead a team of industrial maintenance technicians in daily operations, ensuring high performance and efficiency. Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of breakdowns. Manage preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize unplanned downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, safety inspections, and equipment history logs. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with national and international safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Liaise with production and engineering departments to coordinate repairs and improvements. Train, evaluate, and mentor junior technicians to maintain high technical standards within the team. Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency. Manage spare parts inventory and oversee vendor or contractor maintenance work when necessary. Direct and coordinate the administration of policies, programs and procedures for all maintenance functions including equipment maintenance, facilities & utilities maintenance, repair parts/stockroom maintenance, capital projects, OSHA & EPA compliance, contractor and vendor liaison and management of the maintenance department. Specific areas of responsibility will include Equipment Maintenance: Provide functional directions for all equipment break-down maintenance. Coordinate equipment repairs across all shifts and responds to plant production and maintenance needs, so goals and objectives are met in a timely and professional manner. Evaluates downtime data, operating procedures, equipment capabilities and capacities, and make repairs or authorized modifications or changes that achieve an efficiency improvement or operating cost reduction. Utilizes the CMMS to manage data collection, scheduling & planning, preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance priorities. Facilities & Utilities Maintenance: Oversees operations of plant’s primary utility equipment include boilers, refrigeration equipment, air conditioning equipment, electrical distribution system, fire protection system, compress air system, waste treatment facility and water distribution system. Ensures that necessary repairs and improvements are made to plant buildings, grounds, utility equipment and production equipment. Manage optimum supplies of repair parts and other plant essentials are available for plant and equipment maintenance. OSHA & EPA Compliance. Managed on-going plant programs in the area of energy conservation, water conservation, emergency action measures and environmental control to ensure that the plant meets company objectives and conforms to local, state and federal regulations. Assists in implementing safety programs, ensures quick response in correcting safety discrepancies and maintains all environmental records and documentation. Contractor/Vendor/Inspector Liaison. Contracts with external vendors, contractors, and supplier representatives as required. Hosts and work with regulatory agency inspectors, insurance carriers, utility companies and legal counsel. Keeps current on technology advancements that can be applied to improve plant operations. Maintenance Work Center. Manages the Maintenance Department. Ensures that departmental resources, including staff, budget, spaces, equipment and supplies are available and capable of achieving the department’s purpose, responsibilities and goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Five (5) years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related occupation . Experience must include: One (1) year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role; Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems); Experience with mechanical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and industrial automation; Experience interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
