Camp Health Care Supervisor The Camp Health Care Supervisor role at Concord Recreation is a multi-faceted, fast‑paced position. Those in this role must love and embrace the camp environment and philosophy, which places campers first, promotes teamwork, and ensures campers have fun. The health care supervisor assists campers with daily living activities, dispenses medications, administers first aid, follows medication protocols, and maintains accurate records. Clear communication with staff, parents, and leadership is essential to assure health and safety for all participants.

Pay range:

$25.00–$50.00 per hour. Hourly, part‑time position, up to 37.5 hours per week.

Schedule & Dates Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM.

Program Dates:

June 15 – August 14, 2026.

Training Dates:

June 4 & 5, 2026 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM

June 6, 2026 8:30 AM – 4:00

June 17, 2026 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM

July 1, 2026 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM

Appointment is contingent upon successful pre‑placement checks, including CORI and SORI. The Town will cover the cost of these checks.

Essential Job Functions

Work with a diverse group of people in a proactive, solution‑focused manner.

Prepare and set up the first aid area, inventory medical supplies, order supplies, and ensure adequate materials for the summer season.

Review all medical information for all summer camp participants before the start of camp.

Communicate medical issues with staff as needed while maintaining participant confidentiality.

Follow Department of Public Health guidelines regarding exclusion and readmission of campers for infectious or contagious diseases.

Triage campers or staff with injury, illness, or accident and provide appropriate intervention following protocols and policy.

Supervise medication administration and storage in compliance with camp policy and state regulations.

Administer medications and basic first aid care as needed.

Oversee documentation required by the Board of Health, including medical logs.

Support campers in daily living activities as needed.

Coordinate with staff, participants, volunteers, and participants’ families/ caregivers as a team player.

Deliver medical policies and procedures during staff training.

Attend off‑camp field trips in coordination with the Camp Director.

Assist the Camp Director and Recreation staff during the Camp License audit when available.

Serve as a positive role model to program participants and staff.

Collaborate with the local Board of Health on COVID‑related protocols and potential cases.

Perform additional tasks requested by the Camp Director or Recreation staff.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to communicate clearly with all staff, parents, and leadership staff to ensure health and safety for all campers and staff.

Education, Experience & Special Requirements

Preferred: Public Health or School Nurse.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must be available to work the entire summer plus two weeks before camp starts for paperwork review.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Work is primarily outdoors during the summer. Exposure to moderate temperature variations, noise, odors, and other environmental factors may occur.

Must be able to stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring balancing, crouching, grasping, pulling, reaching, and stooping for extended periods.

Frequent interruptions and demanding schedules are expected.
