This entry‑level position assists facility personnel with various maintenance tasks, including safety, preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting repairs.
FLSA Status : Non‑exempt.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent education.
Entry‑level knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, heating, and cooling trade skills.
Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and coworkers.
Ability to complete work within designated time frames.
Demonstrates skill competency through ongoing assessments and performance evaluations.
Essential Functions
Assist with routine inspections and identify maintenance opportunities.
Retrieve repair parts, shop tools, and other items as specified and assist with daily facility operations.
Assist with general maintenance repair and preventive maintenance inspections for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems in compliance with codes.
Follow safety standards, policies, and procedures established for the department and hospital.
Use tools and equipment efficiently and safely.
Assist with capturing accurate documentation of work orders.
Maintain use and care of commonly used equipment and tools.
Participate in in‑service programs and continuing education.

On‑Call
Employees may be required to be on‑call during emergencies regardless of selection below.
On Call: No
