We are seeking a Hospitality Team Member who embodies the heart and soul of our mission of creating memorable experiences while caring deeply about the brand.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Escort guests to their Retreat/Canopy and relay park information as well as demonstrate the use of the satellite TV and phone system.
Take orders, prepare and serve food product, answer guest questions about menu items and pricing, and serve food that complies with Dollywood’s Splash Country quality, specifications, quantity, presentation and state health code requirements while adhering to all health department regulations.
Follow all procedures/standards affecting the financial standing such as portion control, suggestive selling, clocking in/out properly, accurately entering guest information into the Omni system, accurately opening/closing registers, and completing tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform defined accounting procedures for sales including management of cash funds, deposits, and credit card balancing to ensure all revenue is collected and balanced daily.
Stock and organize the Booth, Retreats, Canopies, and Kitchen area.
Assist in the maintenance and daily cleaning of Retreat and Canopies to include stocking supplies and keeping all work areas organized.
Use empowerment to ensure Dollywood’s Splash Country Satisfaction Guarantee is implemented.
Confidently answer guest questions concerning park layout, menu offerings, and merchandise offerings.
Follow all host safety standards and general safety training guidelines and use associated injury prevention measures.
Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with safety standards or procedures or presents a safety hazard to guests or hosts.
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.
Education and Experience Required
Must be at least 16 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated computer skills with the ability to learn a POS system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees.

Manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties.
Sit, stand or walk for long/short periods of time.
Work in a small, confined area.
Push and/or pull.
Learn additional ticketing system functions.
Move and react quickly in emergency situations.
Operate a fire extinguisher.
Tolerate detergents and chemicals.
Life 50 lbs.
Willing to perform other work functions as assigned.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
Lifting and Carrying:
Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs using company safety guidelines.
Mobility:
Position may require intermittent prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for the duration of the shift, up to 13 hours; may require traveling to various areas with uneven surfaces.
Repetitive Movements:
May require repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts.
Environmental Conditions:
Ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions including extreme cold and heat; may work indoors and outdoors.
Cognitive and Sensory Requirements:
Strong cognitive skills, including thinking critically, solving problems, processing and retaining information, attention to detail and effective communication.
