Client Experience Shift Lead

Aveccc is a 24‑hour veterinary emergency and critical care hospital located in Gilbert, AZ.

We employ the most skilled doctors in the state and perform highly complex treatments throughout the western United States.

Veterinary Technicians and Technician Assistants gain hands‑on experience with procedures such as dialysis, total plasma replacement, and collaborative care with neurology, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, and surgical teams to deliver the highest quality patient care.

Shift Lead Expectations

Demonstrate expectations such as proper patient care, cleanliness, PPE use, task completion, client communication, and feedback exchange.

Act as a mentor and offer support.

Follow all hospital policies and procedures.

Show willingness to grow, be transparent about improvement opportunities, and share action plans.

Training/Coaching Identify growth opportunities for the team.

Encourage staff to try new tasks with guidance.

Provide effective feedback on growth areas.

Document coaching conversations and training processes with supervisor support.

Communication Participate in Shift Lead meetings to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and develop supervisory skills.

Communicate policy or procedure changes positively, support leadership decisions, and invite constructive feedback.

Engagement Enforce team participation in shift huddles to build teamwork and camaraderie.

Identify disengaged or burned‑out staff and intervene constructively.

Reinforce a positive work environment and discourage negative attitudes or gossip.

Pursue additional leadership growth opportunities.

Workflow and Day-to-Day Collaborate with supervisors and senior leadership to ensure proper staffing.

Assist in training team members to meet required skill sets.

Manage time by sending staff home early when workload is low and avoiding overtime for CA staff.

Help with scheduling and staffing needs.

Assign duties to ensure fair teamwork throughout the shift.

Maintain clean, organized workspaces presented professionally to clients.

Client Experience Provide de‑escalation support and act as the point of contact for clients when the team cannot de‑escalate.

Communicate wait times, check in with clients, and provide water/snacks/comfort.

Spend time in the lobby to chat with clients, making them feel heard and valued.

Limit chatter at the CA desk to a low volume and keep it professional; enforce this policy.

Compensation:

$18.00–$24.00 per hour (depending on experience)
