The Senior Graphic Designer uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, films, and packaging, and informative and instructional materials through a variety of media outlets, such as websites. Additionally, the Senior Graphic Designer works closely with top editors and communications and marketing staff to further the University’s message in a uniform fashion.
**CORE JOB FUNCTIONS**
1. Generates innovative visual storytelling ideas for special projects.
2. Remains abreast of technological advances in the field and identifies areas of use in the organization.
3. Manipulates graphic images, animations, sound, text, and video into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs.
4. Routes files for approval and releases organized files to production management when approved.
5. Works with management to monitor quality, content, and effectiveness.
6. Supervises and mentors junior staff and reports any issues to appropriate managing staff.
7. Acts as a consultant on best practices including maintaining brand standards.
8. Guides the creative strategy for the overall look-and-feel of the University’s brand.
9. Oversees creative design budget and timeline to ensure compliance with set parameters.
10. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required
Certification and Licensing:
