The Tennis Maintenance Attendant is responsible for the daily care, preparation, and presentation of all tennis courts and surrounding facilities at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. This role plays a critical part in delivering a world-class racquet sports experience by ensuring courts are safe, pristine, and maintained to luxury resort standards. Attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and a service-driven mindset are essential.

Prepare and maintain all tennis courts (Har-Tru, clay, hard, or grass as applicable) to club and industry standards

Roll, brush, water, line, and repair courts daily to ensure optimal play conditions

Maintain court lines, nets, windscreens, scoreboards, benches, and court accessories

Monitor court conditions and proactively address safety hazards or maintenance concerns

Assist with court setup and breakdown for tournaments, clinics, lessons, and special events

Maintain cleanliness and appearance of tennis facilities, including walkways and spectator areas

Operate and maintain maintenance equipment safely and properly

Follow all safety procedures and report equipment issues or repair needs promptly

Support the Tennis Professional staff as needed to ensure seamless daily operations

Uphold the Club’s service standards and represent the department professionally at all times

Education, Training & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior experience in tennis court maintenance or groundskeeping strongly preferred

Knowledge of Har-Tru/clay court maintenance a plus (training available)

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing

Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

Professional demeanor with a service-oriented mindset

Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors for extended periods

Exposure to outdoor elements including heat, humidity, and rain

Schedule Requirements Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by court schedules and events
