Position Summary The UNC Department of Psychiatry seeks a Licensed Psychologist to serve as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED). This full‑time, 1.0 FTE role involves multidisciplinary teamwork to provide assessments and interventions for individuals with eating disorders across the lifespan. Primary responsibilities include in‑person and virtual clinical services (individual, family, group therapy, diagnostic evaluations) in outpatient and inpatient settings; participation in team meetings and conferences; teaching and supervising clinical trainees; and research activities such as clinical trials, research design, publications, and professional training seminars.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
Licensed in the state of North Carolina prior to the start date
Experience with CBT, FBT, CBT‑E, and/or CBT‑AR for eating disorders
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Post‑doctoral fellowship and/or experience using evidence‐based interventions in the treatment of eating disorders and experience providing treatment across various levels of care are preferred.
