The Radiologic Technologist II works independently or assists physicians/APCs in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating x‑ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting, and handling inpatient & outpatient procedures, emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and operating rooms.
Sign‑on bonus
– Eligible for $1,000 for new hires.
What We're Looking For:
Education
High School Diploma or GED, required.
2‑Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
Graduate of an ARRT‑approved radiography program, required.
Certification required within 6 months of hire post‑graduation.
Experience
– Minimum of one year in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
Licensure / Certification
ARRT certification in Radiography – RT(R), required.
Applicable state licensure, required.
Post‑graduates must pass ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program.
Additional Skills
Apply ALARA principles.
Demonstrate knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws.
Use personnel monitoring devices.
Maintain equipment and schedule maintenance for emergent needs.
Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
Independently perform radiographic and non‑interpretive fluoroscopic procedures (intraoperative, mobile, ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini‑C‑arms, post‑reductions).
Perform mobile imaging (lines, pacers, neonates).
