Customer Account Manager

The Customer Account Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships and ensuring exceptional service for both standard and priority accounts. This role combines customer-facing support with strategic account management to strengthen relationships, drive growth, and deliver a superior customer experience. The position involves handling purchase orders, coordinating logistics, and resolving issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and account management
Validate, enter, and maintain customer purchase orders with accuracy and attention to detail
Provide timely updates on order status, pricing, and delivery timelines
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers at multiple functional and hierarchical levels
Collaborate with internal teams to confirm pricing, product availability, lead times, and transportation arrangements
Prepare documentation for international shipments, and hazardous goods compliance (IMDG/IATA/CFR 49).
Review contracts, coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders as required
Coordinate with freight forwarders for ocean and air shipments
Represent the company in all customer communications, including meetings, calls, and emails
Monitor account balances and ensure timely payments
Identify growth opportunities within priority accounts and develop strategies to increase sales
Stay informed on new products, services, and market trends to support customer needs
Prepare annual forecasts and maintain records of activities.
Initiate and process requests for returns, credits, debits, customer account changes, and quality notifications.
Support team members to balance workload and contribute to a safe work environment
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred but not required
Previous experience in manufacturing industry strongly preferred but not required
1-2 years knowledge of SAP and international shipping regulations (CFR 49 / IATA / IMDG) preferred but not required
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience with customer-based relationships
