The **Adult Protection Services** **Caseworker** performs casework for a variety of identified areas including conducting home and community visits, to assess allegations of adult abuse, neglect and exploitation for at-risk adults age eighteen and older. Duties of this position include assessing situations for safety and risk; making referrals to community and system-based services; creating case plans; monitoring progress of specific cases, documenting case information; and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and other resources for services and supports. Depending on the assigned program, additional responsibilities include: The vision of the Division of Children, Youth, Families and Adult Protection (CYFAP) is Workers Thrive in JeffCo; Children Thrive in Families and Adults Thrive in Communities; and Everyone Thrives Through Equity and Inclusion. The Division is a consensus-based organization. This is initially a Monday-Friday position. New hire training must be completed in-office followed by eligibility for Personal Choice Work Model, in which employees work with their supervisor to develop a model that works best for them. An employee may choose to work from the office or from home, with some general expectations, which may includein-person tasks required by your role such as face-to-face contacts in homes and community, in-person meetings, and in-person group supervision.
**COMPENSATION:**Salary will be determined based on education, licensure, and experience; Relatable Master's and Licenses will receive additional salary in addition to base salary. Work with multi-disciplinary teams, supervision and meetings to ensure the best action is taken. May participate in agency, community and State workgroups and committees.

Any bachelor’s degree with an equivalent of thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter hours in human behavioral sciences or health care related courses, such as, social work, sociology, psychology, psychiatry, gerontology, nursing, special education, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, therapeutic techniques, guidance and counseling, criminal justice, or other human behavioral sciences or medical field relevant to the APS program and/or at-risk adults.Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong written and oral communication* Strong leadership, mentorship, and/or supervision skills* Independent critical thinking and analysis* Demonstrating initiative, innovation, and resiliency* Experience with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365* Experience entering and tracking data in software programs* Strong written and verbal communication* Strong time management and prioritization skills* Ability to work well with diverse populations and different personalitiesExperience in case management
Preferred - Experience in Human Services field Strong customer service skills

Must have valid driver's license without any major violations, including driving under the influence (DUI), driving while intoxicated (DWI) and/or driving while ability impaired (DWAI) conviction(s) in the past three years.
