Overview
We are looking for a hard-working and reliable Sealcoat Crew Laborer to assist with asphalt maintenance and sealcoating operations. This role involves prepping surfaces, applying sealcoat, handling equipment, and supporting the crew to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. It’s a hands-on, outdoor job that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
Prepare asphalt surfaces by cleaning, blowing, edging, and removing debris
Assist with mixing, loading, and applying sealcoat material to driveways, parking lots, and roadways
Use brushes, squeegees, and spray systems to apply sealcoat evenly
Set up cones, barricades, and signage to ensure safe work zones
Maintain tools, hoses, and equipment; assist with clean-up at the end of each shift
Assist with crack filling, line striping, and other related tasks as needed
Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times
Work cooperatively with team members and take direction from the foreman
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous experience in sealcoating or asphalt maintenance is a plus, but not required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to work outdoors in hot weather and perform physical labor for extended periods
Comfortable working with hand tools, machinery, and materials
Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
Valid driver’s license preferred; CDL is a plus
Ability to follow verbal instructions and work as part of a team
Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
Work Environment
Outdoor job sites with exposure to heat, fumes, and physically demanding tasks
Requires standing, lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50–75 lbs
