Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Mobile, AL
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized services at an elementary school in Mobile, Alabama. This contract position supports students from kindergarten through 5th grade, focusing on delivering speech and language therapy to help improve communication skills within a school setting. The role requires on‑site work and a commitment of 35 hours per week, beginning March 2025 through May 29, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school‑aged children (K‑5).
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with school standards.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and adjust therapy goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation per professional and school district guidelines.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches supporting student success.
Qualifications And Experience
Valid Speech Language Pathologist licensure (Professional License or Educator Certification) is required.
CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) is preferred or equivalent.
Experience working with elementary‑aged children (K‑5) in educational settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to individual student needs.
Location Elementary school located in Mobile, AL (Prichard area).
Position Details

One school assignment (Ella Grant Elementary).
